Dr. Huy Tran graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland in 2003 and has since worked predominantly in the South-East Queensland district. He has a pleasant and caring chair-side manner and ensures his patients feel as comfortable as possible whilst under his care. Huy enjoys practicing in all aspects of general dentistry but has special interests in children’s dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. He also likes to keep up to date with new developments in the dental industry through regular continuing education courses. In his spare time, you will either see Huy involved in some minor home renovating, traveling, or planning for his future travels.
Dr. Jenny Loi graduated from the University of Queensland in 2001 with a Bachelor of Dental Science. Since graduation, she has been working full time in private practice and continually attends lectures and seminars to advance her skills. Jenny has a very friendly and caring nature. She is gentle, a great listener and very family-orientated, having four kids of her own. She is committed to providing the highest standard of patient care. During her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, shopping and traveling.
Dr. Andrew Pham graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association and regularly attends continuing education seminars and courses. Andrew has a passion for dentistry, taking special interest in treating your children and believes that a fun and positive first experience is paramount to keep them coming back. Most recently Andrew has completed extra study and broadened his expertise in the area of snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apneoa and the effects this severe medical condition has on people of all ages. Outside of dentistry, you might find Andrew traveling, playing golf, fishing or spending quality time with family and friends. Dr David Duong was born and raised in Sydney but has now made Brisbane his home. He graduated from Griffith University with a ‘Golden Key’ award for academic achievement in 2013, and has been working in private practice in regional and metro Queensland ever since. As a member of the Australian Dental Association, David stays up to date with the latest in dentistry through courses and training programs, and has a keen interest in prosthetic and surgical work. David is happiest when his patients have a comfortable experience, pristine long term oral health, and a glowing confident smile. Outside of work, David enjoys travelling, hiking, skating, yoga, and catching up with friends over dinner and wine, or BBQ and UFC.
Dr Rohit Khanna graduated with a Master of Dentistry and a Bachelor of Dental Health Science from Griffith University. Rohit is originally from Perth, however now calls Brisbane home. Dr Rohit enjoys taking the time to work with families to ensure they have an enjoyable and pain-free experience at the dentist. He loves helping patients to better understand the importance of dental health, and to create a comfortable environment for nervous and anxious patients. He is actively involved in dental research and delivers the most up to date and evidence-based care. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with a particular interest in preventive dentistry and minor oral surgery. Dr Rohit is currently undertaking a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland in order to gain a deeper understanding of the human body and to pursue his long-term goal of becoming an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. Outside of dentistry Rohit is an avid cricket fan, you will find him using his downtime to hit the gym, going outdoors for long runs and spending quality time with friends and family. He is a coffee and food enthusiast and is forever searching for the best in QLD.
Dr. Danika Tran graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and a Master of Dentistry. She has since worked full-time in private practice in Greater Brisbane while regularly attending continuing education courses to keep her clinical skills up to date and provide the best quality care to her patients. Danika has a gentle, caring chair-side manner, and is passionate about helping patients who are fearful of the dentist to have a great experience. She enjoys all aspects of family dentistry with a particular interest in restorative and oral surgery. Outside of dentistry, you’ll find her spending quality time with friends and family or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
Originally from Iran, Dr Maryam Ghafournia completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Isfahan University of Medical Science in 2006 and her studies didn’t stop there though, graduating with a Master of Science (Paediatric Dentistry) in 2009. Dr Maryam Ghafournia spent 10 years working in Iran as a paediatric dentist before making the move to Australia and is joining the Hawthorne Dental team with 15 years of experience in the dental industry. Maryam has a proven ability to communicate effectively with children and their relatives as well as experience performing complex dental procedures for children under general anesthesia and conscious sedation. Maryam also has a keen interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and believes today's dentistry can offer more than just treating an infected tooth or restoring a broken filling, she believes it is also capable of giving patients the confidence of looking good through a myriad of aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry procedures. Away from the practice Maryam loves exploring all that Australia has to offer now she calls Australia home.
Caitlin became part of the Hawthorne Dental team in 2022, where she has since expanded her expertise across various aspects of dental care. With extensive experience in managing a bustling GP clinic, she seamlessly transitioned her skills into the dental industry. She has earned certificates III and IV in dental assisting and radiology during her tenure and looks forward to pursuing further education in dental technology and prosthetics in the future. Despite transitioning into an administrative role, Caitlin remains actively involved in patient care. She welcomes feedback and suggestions from patients to enhance service quality and is dedicated to assisting them in every possible way. Outside of her professional life, Caitlin enjoys renovating her apartment and supporting her husband at his volleyball competitions whenever she's not at the clinic or studying.
